“We are all are sinners
We are sick with sin
We are separated
We are far from Him

Yes we need a Savior, and God has sent His Son

Jesus came to save, sinners like you and me
Dying on the cross to set us free
Jesus came to save, sinners like you and me
Rose from the dead He beat sin”

REFLECTIONS

“Jesus came to save sinners” is a song written by Issac Wimbery and Jeff caps, from the Jesus wants to save sinners album, which is original music made for the pre-school ministry of the Village Church, which is pastored by Matt Chandler. Suffice to say, I think this song is fantastic. It is simple in all the right ways, and shows that they are not messing around over there. This is in their pre-school ministry. They are teaching their children there sound biblical truths with the hope that these songs will be an effective tool in engaging children with the truth of who God is as parents endeavour to obey the biblical call to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. I wonder how well our churches would be served if we had similar attitudes concerning the catechesis of our young ones, and had such Christ-centered and cross focussed worship for them.

1 Timothy 1:12-17: I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
